End of Financial Year 2022 appeal

As this financial year draws to a close, we want to reflect on our work at CARAD and ask for your continued support as we work with some of society’s most vulnerable people. For over twenty years we have provided essential welfare and advocacy support to asylum seekers, refugees, and detainees in Western Australia.

We thank you for matching that passion with your support and generous donations.

The number of people we serve has continued to grow this financial year for several reasons. Government funding for asylum seekers has continued to reduce, leaving vulnerable people in limbo. As other organisations receive less government funding, more clients are referred to CARAD. We are the service of last resort and so, to the best of our ability, we continue to meet their fundamental needs such as food, housing support, medicines, and utilities. We do this even when we are not certain where the funds will come from.

Your support means that we can continue to provide essential services for people seeking asylum, refugees and detainees and advocating on their behalf. As the end of the financial year approaches, please consider donating to help us sustain our services. All donations of $2 and above are tax deductible.

CARAD is proud to be an independent organisation that does not accept any funding that would impact our ability to deliver services or advocate for the rights of people seeking asylum in Australia. This means that we rely heavily on people like you to help us continue our important work.

We are deeply grateful for your ongoing support.
