Volunteer COVID-19 Vaccination Policy
CARAD works with an extremely vulnerable population, many have existing health conditions and some have limited access to medical care. We are committed to ensuring our clients have essential services during the COVID-19 pandemic and we have adapted our service provision to continue service delivery. As you know, the WA government mandated double vaccination for community services workers (including volunteers) by January 31. CARAD is deemed a Group 2 industry — those deemed critical to the ongoing delivery of key services to the community which previously mandated that we need to have two doses by the end of January.
There will be a requirement for people attending the Volunteer Information Evening to have evidence of vaccination as of 1 February 2022 . Most CARAD volunteer roles are in the office or in the community with highly vulnerable clients which now require evidence of vaccination.”
CARAD asks anyone who meets the following self-isolation criteria to refrain from booking and/or attending if:
You are experiencing symptoms such as fever, coughing, sore throat, fatigue or shortness of breath.
You have COVID-19
If you are awaiting results from a COVID-19 test (do not attend until you have your results and they are negative)
You have been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19
You have been instructed to self-isolate or are in a lockdown area.
