Material Donations

FOOD DONATION DROP-OFF OPTIONS

Please deliver Foodbank donations to the CARAD office on Monday or Tuesday morning 9am - 12noon. If you are unable to deliver during these times, please call ahead to make an alternative arrangement.

Each month we will update our most needed items and post them here and on our Facebook page.

ONLINE ORDERS

Online orders for Foodbank program can be delivered to our office Monday and Tuesday mornings 9am - 12noon.

GIFT VOUCHERS

Cash donations are currently preferred given food shortages at large retain food stores as it provides clients with greater flexibility.

However, you can still donate supermarket vouchers from Coles, Woolworths, Kmart, BigW and Target, please mail these to: PO BOX 8547, Perth, 6849.

Mobile Phones

Many of our clients in detention are in need of a mobile and are on the waiting to list to receive one – so we need your help!

We want to thank our very generous community for the great donation of mobile phones for our clients both in the community and in detention. These phones make a huge difference for people trying to call us and their families from detention. We are still calling for more phone, however they must be:

·         Unlocked – we cannot unlock them

·         At least 4G reception as our clients are in detention in regional areas

·         They must come with a charger.

Please have a look around the house and drop them into us at the CARAD office.

Donation Gift Cards

In lieu of a gift, you can give family and friends a donation to CARAD in their name (e.g. for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays).

How various donation amounts help support our clients:

$25 will contribute to a typical prescription medication or blood test for an asylum seeker without Medicare/income

$50 will pay for family groceries for a week or for a GP consultation for an asylum seeker without Medicare/income

$105 will pay for a week of accommodation for an asylum seeker

$200 will pay for an ultrasound scan for an asylum seeker without Medicare/income

What not to donate

There are many items that for safety and/or practical reasons we are unable to accept.

We cannot accept any non-Foodbank items including: furniture and household goods, electrical goods, clothes, baby and children’s items.

Please consider donating to Good Sammy’s with whom we have an arrangement and who very generously support our clients.
